A refrigerant compressor has a discharge outlet (36) on the outer end of a cylinder head (14), the outlet being provided with first and second passages (362,361) connected in series. The cross sectional area of the first passage is smaller than that of the second passage to function as a nozzle portion. As a result, pulsation is controlled and noise is reduced.
