A broadcast program content recording device comprises a recording means and an auto dubbing start means. The recording means receives, according to a program content identifier set by the user, a broadcast program content corresponding to the program content identifier and records the received broadcast program content onto a first recording medium. The auto dubbing start means starts automatic dubbing of the broadcast program content recorded on the first recording medium onto a second recording medium, triggered by the timing when the recording means completes recording of the broadcast program content on the first recording medium.
