In the present invention, there is disclosed a process for preparing an enzyme-containing granulate by mixing an enzyme-containing aqueous liquid with carbohydrate-based edible carrier such as starch, mechanically processing the obtained mixture to granules that are subsequently dried. The enzyme granulate according to the present invention is suitable for preparing feed compositions for animals by mixing the granules with feed ingredients, sterilizing or treating the obtained mixture with steam, and pelleting so processed mixture. The compositions according to the invention show improved enzyme stability during pelletizing process.
