An excavation device is provided to smoothly rotate an outer road without protruding a flange supporting a rotational shaft from the outer rod. An excavation device includes an outer rod(11), a rotation driving device, an inner rod(13), a lifting device, a rack(53), a pinion(56), and an expansion wing. The outer rod has a cylindrical shape. The rotation driving device rotates the outer rod. The inner rod is inserted into the outer rod. The lifting device lifts up and down upper and lower ends of the inner rod. The rack is provided at a lower portion of the inner rod. The rack includes at least a pair of rack tooth rows. The pinion is screwed with the rack tooth rows The pinion includes a rotational shaft(57) protruding out of the outer rod. The expansion wing is formed at an end of the rotational shaft of the pinion.
