METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OFFERING BRANCH OFFICE SEARCH

A method and a system for providing a branch search service are provided to offer a branch search result by determining whether a search keyword is a branch search keyword, and using branch information collected from a website indexed with the search keyword. A website searcher(504) searches website indexes by using a received search keyword. A website crawler(505) crawls the search website. A branch information collector(506) which comprises a designation information management unit(510), a designation information parsing unit(509), a designation page number comparison unit(508) and a designation page number calculation unit(507) collects branch information from the crawled data. A search result provider(511) provides a branch search result according to the collected branch information. A search keyword counter(502) collects a search keyword part when the search keyword combined with a local name is searched. A branch search keyword determiner(503) determines whether the search keyword is the branch search keyword. The site searcher searches the website indexes by using the received search keyword when the search keyword is the branch search keyword, and searches the indexed websites by using the received search keyword when the search keyword is not the branch search keyword.
