A method and a system for providing a background image change service are provided to overlay weather background information corresponding to the current weather condition and time background information corresponding to the current time on a background image of a terminal. A system(200) for providing a background change service includes a background information database(201), an information searching unit(202), and an information transmitter(203). The background information database stores weather background information and time background information. The information searching unit searches the background information database for weather background information corresponding to the current weather condition and time background information corresponding to the current time condition. The information transmitter transmits the searched weather background information and the time background information to a terminal. The terminal overlays the weather background information and the time background information on a background image of the terminal according to a background change application. |
