Cutting device by means of strap saw blade of oscillary motion along the closed curve comprises a tensioned knife (2) for cutting with a combined up/down and front/back motion, where due to the reason that the travel of the knife is small, the knife can have many a travel, so it can be positioned directly to the axle of the engine (3) and therewith the construction is cheaper. The bottom end of the knife (1) is on a sliding or revolving bearing, while the upper end leans against the spring (10), being either a leaf, a rubber, a spiral conical or a spiral cylindrical one. Device is suitable for household appliances for cutting, and for industrial devices for cutting thin plates.
