摘要 A titanium membrane having a nanoporous photocatalytic titania surface is provided to treat efficiently small amounts of fine substances causing water and air pollutions by a photocatalytic titania thin film formed on a titanium metal membrane without worrying about the re-treatment problem of a titania powder or the exfoliation problem of a titania thin film, and a manufacturing method of the titanium membrane is provided. A titanium membrane having a nanoporous photocatalytic titania surface comprises a titanium metal membrane(1) with micropores(1a) as a matrix and a porous photocatalytic titania thin film(2) with nanopores(2a) integrally formed on a surface of the titanium metal membrane. The titanium metal membrane has micropores by weaving titanium metal wires in the form of a mesh. The titanium metal membrane has micropores between the titanium metal powders by sintering titanium metal powders. The nanopores have a diameter of 10 to 300 nm. A manufacturing method of a titanium membrane having a nanoporous photocatalytic titania surface comprises: a first process of forming a titanium metal membrane with micropores; and a second process of integrally forming a porous photocatalytic titania thin film with nanopores on a surface of the titanium metal membrane. The manufacturing method further comprises a process of subjecting titania formed by the second process to a post-heat treatment at 450 to 600 deg.C.
