An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to make products slim by positioning an LED(Light-Emitting Diode)-mounting region outside an LCD panel while the LED is mounted on an FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit board). An LCD comprises an LCD panel(100) for outputting an image, a light-guiding plate(200) joined to a rear surface of the LCD panel to transmit light to the LCD panel, an LED(300) for emitting light to one end of the light-guiding plate, an FPC(400) joined to the LCD panel to transmit current and respective electric signals to the LCD panel, and a frame(600) for fixing respective component parts. The LCD panel includes a first panel(110) and a second panel(120) joined to each other in a lamination type. A lower portion of the second panel is more protrudent than the first panel. A mounting position of the LED is changeable so that one surface of the LED, which is contacted with the FPC, is more protrudent than a rear surface of the second panel in a front direction. If the mounting position of the LED is moved in the front direction, as the above, a distance between a front surface of the LCD panel and a rear surface of the light-guiding plate is reduced, thereby achieving the sliming of the LCD. |
