A bidirectional ratchet brake device for a winch is provided to reduce an operational speed difference between a power unit and a floodgate by equalizing a rotation ratio between a driving unit and a power shaft. When a floodgate is controlled by using power transmitted from a power unit, a power shaft(130), which is fixed and coupled to steel ball guides(120), is rotated by pushing steel balls(140) to a rotatable space between a brake drum housing(160) and the steel ball guides through a driving unit(110) mechanically connected to the power unit. When power is transmitted from the floodgate to the power unit, rotation of the power shaft is stopped by rotating the steel ball guides mechanically connected to the floodgate to position the steel balls at a space in which the rotation is not permissible between the brake drum housing and the steel ball guides. |
