A complex objective lens and an optical pickup apparatus are provided to prevent a defect of its external appearance of the complex objective lens by maintaining uniform flow of resin into a cavity during molding of the lens. A complex objective lens comprises a gate(4), two first curved parts, a first straight part, and a second straight part. The gate, formed when the complex objective lens is injection molded, is placed along two objective lens parts(1,2). The two first curved parts are spread from one end of the gate side. The first straight part positioned at the other end of the gate is perpendicular to a straight line connecting each center of the two objective lens parts. The second straight part, positioned between the two first curved parts and the first straight part, is parallel to a straight line connecting the centers of the two objective lens parts.
