Troughing for installation in floors has the general form shown in Fig. 1, with a removable closure section 3, on which connectors 21 are mounted, retained by clips 14. When installed in a concrete floor 23 the flange 11 projects above the floor level behind the skirting board 25 and prevents surface water seeping in to the troughing. Heating cables 22 are led in through knockouts 17 and connected to the mains supply at connectors 21 which are removed to provide easy access, as indicated by the chain-lines in Fig. 2. In order that the troughing may, when laid along a partitioning-wall, serve the adjoining room, knockout sections 19 are provided. If inflatable tubes are employed to form duct spaces then they are withdrawn through apertures 19 and 20 or 9 and the top opening. |
