PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid resin which is low in light transmittance in the visible light region and excellent in light transmittance in the infrared region, further excellent in heat resistance, and to provide a molded article made from the same. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a polylactic acid resin (A), a methacryl-based resin (B) having a weight average molecular weight of 50,000-450,000 and syndiotacticity of at least 40%, and at least one sort of colorant (C) selected from a dioxane-based pigment, monoazo dye, anthraquinone dye, perinon dye, phthalocyanine dye, acidic triphenylmethane dye, and acidic diazo dye, and is prepared by melt kneading, and whose light transmittance within a wave length of 900-1,000 nm is at least 40% and light transmittance within a wave length of 400-700 nm is not more than 20%, and a desirable glass transition temperature of the methacryl-based resin is at least 110°C and a weight ratio between the polylactic acid resin and the methacryl-based resin (polylactic acid resin/methacryl-based resin) is from 90/10 to 10/90.
