PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive device having composition in which recording and reproduction of an optical storage medium can be highly accurately performed even when a lens holder is driven at high frequency. SOLUTION: A lens holder 3 composing the objective lens drive device 1 is provided with: a drum part 3b which is formed with a through hole 3a and; a lens holding part 3c which holds an objective lens 2 and is formed so as to project from the drum part 3b in a direction orthogonal to a focusing direction and a tracking direction. In the objective lens drive device 1, a second drive magnet 14 for driving the lens holder 3 in the focusing direction and the tracking direction is arranged at both sides in the tracking direction, of the lens holding part 3c, the tracking drive coil 16 and the second drive magnet 14 are opposite to each other in the direction orthogonal to the focusing direction and the tracking direction.
