A control panel and a washing machine having the same are provided to prevent marks and letters on a film from being erased by projecting the marks and letters on the back side of a semi-transparent cover through illumination of an LED(Light Emitting Device). A control panel(20) of a washing machine comprises a semi-transparent cover(21), a film(30), a sensing panel(40), a circuit board(22), and a guide member(23). The film is located at the back side of the semi-transparent cover, on which a plurality of marks and letters are printed. The sensing panel is located at the back side of the film, and has a plurality of sensing units for sensing the capacitance of a human body. The circuit board has a light emitting unit illuminating light to the film to project the marks and letters on the back side of the semi-transparent cover. The guide member has a plurality of optical paths to guide the light of the light emitting unit to the marks and letters of the film.
