<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a difference in screen luminance of an organic EL display device between when characteristics of an OLED element are measured and not measured. <P>SOLUTION: A data line 5 to supply image data and a detection line 6 for detecting characteristics of an OLED element of a pixel 2 are connected to the pixel 2. Characteristics of the OLED element are measured by using a predetermined peroid in a frame. In the frame wherein the OLED element is measured, an image display period is limited, so luminance decreases. For prevention against that, in the frame wherein the characteristics of the OLED element are measured, an ADC varies a γ characteristic of the OLED element with a signal from a Tcon to increase light emission luminance of the OLED element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
