PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew adjustment mechanism in a disk drive device, wherein skew adjustment is facilitated. SOLUTION: This skew adjustment mechanism is provided with an optical pickup 31 fixed to a disk table 8 through a pickup arranging hole 3a formed in a base chassis 3 to moved in the radial direction of a disk recording medium 10, a pair of guide shafts 10 and 15 for guiding the optical pickup in the radial direction of the disk recording medium, adjust plate springs 11 and 23 attached to the base chassis to hold both ends of at least one of the guide shafts, thereby pressing it in a predetermined direction, and adjusting members 22 and 30 for adjusting the elastic deformation amounts of the adjust plate springs to adjust he position of the guide shaft held by the adjust plate springs.
