An MRI apparatus capable of operating the alias removal from data measured by nonorthgonal imaging in a real space with low computational complexity at high speed. Nonorthogonal data sampling for thinning the amount of data by using receiving coils having mutually different sensitivity distributions. Image reconstructing means creates orthogonal data by griddling nonorthogonal data obtained by using the receiving coils onto a grid exhibiting a spatial resolution equal to the target image and having a narrow field of view, subjects the orthogonal data to Fourier transform, and creates first image data including an aliasing component. Second image data with no aliasing is created by using the first image data created for the receiving coils and the sensitivity distributions of the receiving coils.
