<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove foreign substances disposed on an imaging element. <P>SOLUTION: There are included a driving means 16 for displacing an imaging element 17, at least substantially in parallel with an imaging plane and shift means 12, 16 for shifting a position of the imaging element substantially in parallel with the imaging plane, with respect to an initial position within a range of driving due to the driving means.
