PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt continuously variable transmission in which a pin-like part is returned to a normal position when it projects to an abnormal position. SOLUTION: This belt continuously variable transmission 1 comprises a pair of guide rails 40a, 40b so disposed, oppositely to each other, as to cover the axial both sides of a belt 31 between a primary pulley 17 and a secondary pulley 20 and fixed unmovably. In the guide rail 40a, when the connection pin 32 of the belt 31 projects to the guide rail 40a side, a first contact part 41 brought into contact with the end of the connection pin 32 projecting to the guide rail 40a side even if the belt 31 moves in a passing route at any reduction ratio is formed according, particularly, to the shape of a fixed sheave 17a. In the guide rail 40b, a second contact part 42 brought into contact with the end of the projecting connection pin 32 even in a passing route at any reduction ratio is formed according, particularly, to the shape of a fixed sheave 20a.
