<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of improving security and improving user's convenience. <P>SOLUTION: In this image processing system in which an MFP and a terminal device are connected through a network, one and the same verifying information is stored in the MFP and the terminal device. The terminal device encrypts the verifying information stored in the terminal device itself by its own encryption key, includes the encrypted verifying information in data of a print job and transmits the print job to the MFP. The MFP decrypts the verifying information (encrypted one) included in the data of the print job from the terminal device by its own decryption key (S507), compares the decrypted information with verifying information stored in the terminal device itself (S509) and verifies the appropriateness of the key (S511). If both pieces of information are not coincident. the key is determined to be inappropriate ("No" in S513), and a warning to the effect that the encryption key of the terminal device has not been updated to an appropriate one (S519) is made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
