PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apoptosis induction composition having high safety and a strong inhibitory effect on cancer cell growth, a food and beverage containing the composition and having an apoptosis induction ability and a composition having an ability of controlling cancer progress and/or a prevention ability of cancer crisis and an apoptosis induction ability.

SOLUTION: The composition having an apoptosis induction ability contains an extract of acetic acid bacterial cells with a fat-soluble organic solvent as an active ingredient. A food and beverage having an apoptosis induction ability contains the composition.
