<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable nozzle type turbocharger that permits, even if one or some movements are interrupted out of multiple variable nozzle vanes of variable nozzle mechanism of a variable nozzle type turbocharger, movements of other variable nozzle vanes. <P>SOLUTION: In order to change the angles of multiple variable nozzle vanes 72 disposed in an exhaust inlet of a turbine 46, a variable nozzle type turbocharger is equipped with an interlocking mechanism configured to transmit a power from a drive means 78 to the multiple variable nozzle vanes 72. Out of the interlocking mechanism, at least a part of constituent members corresponding to each of the multiple variable nozzle vanes 72 is made of elastically deformable materials.
