PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a built-in sensing element of which number of wirings can be reduced. SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a plurality of sensing parts arranged in a matrix form for generating a sensing signal by an external contact; a plurality of first sensing signal lines for transmitting the sensing signal of the sensing part in a first direction; a plurality of second sensing signal lines for transmitting the sensing signal of the sensing part in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; a first output part for sequentially outputting the sensing signal of the first sensing signal lines; a first sensing output line extending in the second direction for transmitting the sensing signal from the first output part; and a sensing signal processing part for processing the sensing signals of the first sensing output lines and the second sensing signal lines, and generating a digital sensing signal including contact information including presence of contact and a contact position.
