PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector high in operation reliability and capable of calling a user's attention in an early stage. SOLUTION: The abnormality detector comprises a temperature sensor 1, a fire monitoring means 3, an environmental change detecting means 6, a change presence/absence detecting means 7 and a control means 8. Since a fire determination is made based on the state of the environmental change detecting means 6 and the state of the temperature sensor 1, malfunction caused by disturbance can be prevented, and the user can be notified early of an environmental change by the environmental change detecting means which detects a temperature change within a temperature range lower than the fire monitoring means. Since the state of the sensor is monitored based on the change state of the temperature sensor, a fault in the detecting function of the sensor can be detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
