A digital broadcasting transceiving apparatus and a transceiving method thereof are provided to transmit data repeatedly in a predetermined repeated pattern, thereby dealing with problems generated on a channel. An encoding unit(110) compresses data to be transmitted. A time diversity unit(120) outputs the compressed data repeatedly in a preset repeated pattern. A modulation unit(130) modulates the data outputted from the time diversity unit. A transmitting unit(140) transmits the modulated data.
