<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating an information processor without requiring a complicated mechanism in an electronic pen without holding the electronic pen in another way when allowing the electronic pen to accomplish a function as an auxiliary input device. <P>SOLUTION: In this handwriting input system, a plurality of infrared oscillation elements are installed on the periphery of a shaft of the electronic pen, the infrared oscillation elements are made to oscillate in predetermined order and timing, the infrared oscillation element facing a direction of an infrared reception element is specified by the infrared reception element of a reception device, a rotation angle of the electronic pen and the reception device is obtained together with position coordinates of the electronic pen, and the electronic pen is rotated to also accomplish the function as the auxiliary input device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
