PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine refrigerant leakage in a refrigerating cycle device with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The difference▵d between sampling data X(t) of detected concentration of carbon dioxide and an estimated value C(t) of the concentration of carbon dioxide in a compartment under a condition that a refrigerant (carbon dioxide) does not leak from the refrigerating cycle device, is found, and the refrigerant leakage is determined on the basis of the comparison of the difference▵d with a reference value S. According to this embodiment, the refrigerant leakage can be determined with high accuracy in comparison with a case when the refrigerant leakage is determined on the basis of the comparison of the sampling data X(t) of the detected concentration with the reference value.
