PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed flat battery cans 4 made of ferromagnetic material and successively carried on a carrying conveyer without a clearance, into a facility at high speed by opening a pitch necessary for a battery assembling facility without damage or a hit mark. SOLUTION: The separation feeder of the flat battery can 4 comprises a star dividing plate 5a provided with a plurality of recessed portions receiving an arc part of the flat battery can 4 at equal interval on an outer periphery thereof and carrying out two-piece synchronizing intermittent action, and an attachment conveyer 7 having a projecting portion for opening the pitch of the flat battery can 4 synchronously driven and carrying the flat battery can 4 to a battery assembling facility main body, at both ends of the carrying conveyer 1a on which the flat battery cans 4 are successively carried in a short side direction without a clearance enabling long sides to contact each other. The separation feeder of the flat battery can 4 opens the pitch one by one and supplies the flat battery can 4 to the battery assembling facility made from a main body driving synchronously moving battery dividing plate installed between a toothed belt and a flat battery can supplying portion.
