PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weighted information protection cap of simple constitution, attached to a port of an input and output interface, manufactured inexpensively, excellent in use convenience, and capable of preventing information from leaking through the input and output interface of a personal computer, mobile communication equipment or the like. SOLUTION: This information protection cap 1 is provided with a connector fit to the port of the input and output interface, an unused state detecting switch 3 turned from ON to OFF when inserted at first into the port of the input and output interface, and not turned on again, an insertion detecting switch 4 turned off before inserted into the input and output interface, turned on after inserted, and turned off when extracted, and an extractor detecting switch 7 turned on when inserting an extractor into an extractor insertion port, and turned off when removing the extractor, and an alarm buzzer is sounded when all the unused state detecting switch 3, the insertion detecting switch 4 and the extractor detecting switch 7 are brought into off-conditions.
