PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a leader pin provided with collar parts in both ends through necks to be returned to a holding part provided with slit parts which the necks are to enter, even when the leader pin is tilted in an advancing direction. SOLUTION: In a recording tape cartridge 10, a leader pin 30 has large-diameter parts 33 having an outer diameter R2 larger than an outer diameter R1 of a main part 31 and collar parts 35 provided outside the large-diameter parts 33 with necks 34 between parts 35 and parts 33, in both ends, and a holding part 36 includes slit parts 37 opened to an aperture 18 and allowing the necks 34 to be put thereinto and first and second recessed parts 36A and 36B formed around the slit parts 37, of which the first recessed parts 36A allow the large-diameter parts 33 to be put thereinto and the second recessed parts 36B allow the collar parts 35 to be put thereinto. The outer diameter of collar parts is made smaller than the outer diameter of large-diameter parts 33 so that the leader pin 30 is stored up to a prescribed position even when being returned to the holding part 36 in a state of tilting at a prescribed angleθin the advancing direction.
