PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate for a seat back table capable of facilitating management of a rod-like body by a sitting occupant carrying the rod-like body such as a stick. SOLUTION: In the top plate 1 for the seat back table provided on a back surface 81 of the seat 8 mounted on a transportation machine and constituted movably between the storage state (P1) arranged along the back surface 81 and the use state drawn out and horizontally arranged, the top plate 1 has rod retaining part 3 engaged with the rod-like body 7 such as the stick and retaining it. The rod retaining part 3 has a notch recession part for storing the rod-like body 7; and an elastic member 2 arranged so as to be inwardly projected from an inner peripheral part of the notch recession part. It is preferably constituted such that the rod-like body 7 inserted to the notch recession part can be retained by elastic force of an elastic member 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
