PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token dispenser preventing the return of tokens from a return opening when something goes wrong with a token conveyance state or a reset switch is erroneously operated. SOLUTION: This token dispenser includes conveyance abnormality detection means for detecting the conveyance abnormality of tokens in a conveyance device, discharge abnormality detection means for detecting the discharge abnormality of the tokens in a token discharge part, and error storage means for storing the detection of an error by the conveyance abnormality detection means or the discharge abnormality detection means. When the reset switch is continuously operated for a prescribed time and the error storage means stores no error detection, this token dispenser allows a closing device to open the return opening and actuates the conveyance device to convey the tokens stocked in a token stocking part to the return opening and, when the error storage means stores the error detection, allows the closing device to retain the closing of the return opening and non-actuates the conveyance device.
