<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to properly perform a pointing operation in a hands-free state. <P>SOLUTION: This pointing system is provided with two acceleration sensors; a display; and a controller. The two acceleration sensors are mounted in the neighborhoods of the both elbows of a user. Two straight lines 20 and 30 to be used for performing a pointing operation and a pointer 40 showing a point position are displayed on a display screen 10. The straight line 20 is configured to move so as to rotate around a supporting point 21 based on the detection result of the acceleration sensor mounted on the left elbow of the user, and the straight line 30 is configured to move so as to rotate around a supporting point 31 based on the detection result of the acceleration sensor mounted on the right elbow of the user. If the point position moves due to move of at least one of the straight line 20 and the straight line 30, the pointer 40 moves accordingly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
