<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a metal retainer structure of good quality operable at high speeds under high temperatures and a method for inexpensively stably manufacturing the metal retainer. <P>SOLUTION: A band metal plate 17 is plastically deformed by passing through first to third formation roll sets 18-20 in this order. First, a first preliminary intermediate material 22 is manufactured by forming a large number of recessed oil reservoirs 21, 21 at the portions of the raw material near the lateral both ends by the first roll set 18. Next, a second preliminary intermediate raw material 24 with bent cross section is manufactured by applying plastic working to the first preliminary intermediate material by the second roll set 19. The lateral both ends of the second preliminary intermediate material are bent by the bending formation rolls 34a, 34b forming the third roll set 20. The retainer is manufactured by applying a punching for pocket through holes and bending to cylindrical shape to the preliminary intermediate material 25 and welding the both ends to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
