PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable waterproof structure of electronic equipment which can provide electronic equipment with an excellent waterproof property in case that the equipment sinks under water or jet water is blown against the equipment. SOLUTION: The waterproof structure of electronic equipment consists of a gasket holding groove 11 formed along the circumference of an outer peripheral portion of either a first case member 1 or a second case member 2, and a gasket 3 which is made of a rubber-like elastic material and is in close contact with either the first case member 1 or the second case member 2 at the bottom face 11a of the gasket holding groove 11. The gasket 3 consists of a main seal portion 31 to be brought into close contact with either the first case member 1 or the second case member 2, a seating seal portion 32 to be brought into close contact with the bottom face 11a of the gasket holding groove 11, and a side-face seal portion 33 formed in a projecting manner on the side face portion 3a facing the side of the equipment. When the gasket 3 is applied with water pressure P from outside, the side face seal portion 33 is brought into close contact with the internal side face 11b of the gasket holding groove 11 on the inside of the equipment.
