PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a manufacturing cost, to inhibit deterioration of visibility due to reflection of extraneous light, and to inhibit deterioration of use efficiency of light emitted from a light source in a display apparatus. SOLUTION: A pixel 10P is composed so that the area of a light emitting region of an organic EL element E1 is smaller than the area of a formation region of a black resin layer 12 excluding the light emitting region. That is to say, the area of a region covered with a first electrode 13 which is an anode, an organic light-emitting layer 16, and a second electrode 17 which is a cathode is around one-fifth or less of the area of the formation region of the black resin layer 12 excluding the above area. Because this causes much of the extraneous light incident in the pixel 10P to be absorbed by the black resin layer 12, the light is not reflected by a pixel transistor TR1, a driving transistor TR2, and wiring 11.
