PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling cylinder structure which always keep the inner surface of a feeding path clean by facilitating the cleaning/washing of the inner surface of the feeding path of a filling cylinder with a gas path for blowing air or substitute gas arranged outside the feeding path of the filling cylinder allowing a packaging article to be fed thereto in a vertical bag-making filling and packaging machine. SOLUTION: The gas path 34 is formed between a vertical groove 25 formed outside an inner cylindrical body 20 and the inner circumferential surface 25a of an outer cylindrical body 10 and is arranged outside the feeding path inside the inner cylindrical body 20 to which the packaging article is fed. A protruding part is present at the cylindrical inner surface of the inner cylindrical body 20 but the cylindrical inner surface is smoothly formed so that the packaging article and its fragments are hardly stuck on it. Even when the packaging article and its fragments are stuck on the cylindrical inner surface, the inside of the filling cylinder is accessible through mutually substantially overlapping outer window 18 and inner window 28.
