PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus capable of reducing exposure dose and easily positioning an X-ray narrowing device even when the region of interest is changed. SOLUTION: The X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes: an imaging system for irradiating a subject with X-rays from an X-ray irradiation part and detecting by an X-ray detection part; an image data generation part for generating image data on the basis of projection data detected by the X-ray detection part; a moving mechanism for relatively moving the imaging system and the subject along the body axis of the subject; a composite processing part for acquiring two or more pieces of image data by irradiating each of a plurality of imaging parts with X-rays from the same direction by the relative movement of the imaging system and the subject and two-dimensionally sticking the two or more pieces of the acquired image data to generate composite images; and a display area selection part for selecting the region of interest on the composite image in linkage with the movement of the region of interest of the subject, extracting the image of the selected region of interest and displaying it at a display part.
