<p>A shrink fit tool holder that without decreasing of the strength of the tool holder, can realize a large fastening allowance by shrink fitting. Accordingly, there is provided shrink fit tool holder (10) having taper shank part (20) attached to a principal axis of machine and tool retention part (40) furnished at its distal end with tool retention hole (48) capable of insertion of tool shank part (2) of tool (1) and retention thereof, adapted to accomplish fitting of the tool (1) by inserting the tool shank part (2) in the tool retention hole (48) while having the tool retention part (40) brought into thermal expansion and cooling the same, wherein part of the circumferential surface of the tool retention hole (48) consists of grip member (50) with hardness higher than that of the tool retention part (40).</p> |
