<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency sensor apparatus capable of reliably and speedily detecting bodies to be detected. <P>SOLUTION: The high-frequency sensor apparatus includes an oscillation circuit for generating transmission waves; an antenna having a plurality of patch electrodes for radiating the transmission waves and receiving reflected waves of the transmission waves reflected by an object as reception waves; a detection circuit for detecting the reception waves; and a control determination circuit for determining the presence of a body to be detected on the basis of Doppler signals outputted from the detection circuit and controlling the direction of the transmission waves radiated from the antenna. The control determination circuit executes a first scan mode to sequentially radiating the transmission waves in a plurality of directions tilted with respect to a major faces of the patch electrodes and, when the body to be detected is detected in the first scan mode, executes a second scan mode to sequentially radiating the transmission waves in a plurality of directions at intervals narrower than those of the plurality of directions in the first scan mode and in a narrower range including the direction in which the body to be detected has been detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
