PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception system that can prevent a user from waiting for a long time. SOLUTION: A connection section 22 connects a telephone call from the user with a reception desk 13. A waiting time calculating unit 23 calculates a predictive waiting time, by referring to a hold-time statistic table in which actual result values of answering times at the reception desk 13 are recorded, when there is no available reception desk 13. If the calculated predictive time is longer than the predetermined time, a notification section 24 notifies of the predictive waiting time and extracts a caller identification number; a registration section 25 registers the number in a call-back management table; and a call-back section 26 calls back to the registered user by referring to the call-back management table.
