PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat belt fixing device designed such that while a rise time is shortened to cope with a thinner heat roller satisfying demands for energy saving and a low cost, a high speed is achieved and skew and meander in a fixing belt are effectively prevented. SOLUTION: The fixing belt has a projecting skew-restricting part on at least one of the edges of the fixing belt or on the internal face of the fixing belt near the edge. In addition, the fixing belt has a skew preventing member that has a skew preventing groove disposed near the side face of the body of the fixing roller so as to correspond to the projecting skew-restricting part of the fixing belt and preventing a skew by guiding the fixing belt passing through a nip.
