The invention relates to a cooking hob, comprising a cooking hob plate (10) having a top side (12) for placing cookware (18), and a temperature sensor area (14) at a lower side of the cooking hob plate (10) for arranging a temperature sensor (16). In order to provide a cooking hob having an improved temperature sensor system, it is proposed that the cooking hob plate (10) has a material strength (m) in the temperature sensor area (14) which is smaller than the material strength (M) in the surroundings of the temperature sensor area (14).
