<p>An electron emission device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to suppress the generation of residues in a bake process by using a thermally degradable property of a metal catalyst. A plurality of first electrodes(36) are formed along a cross direction on a substrate(10,12). An insulating layer is formed between a plurality of second electrodes(38). The second electrodes are formed across the first electrodes. A plurality of electron emission units(40) are electrically connected to the first electrodes. The electron emission units include a carbon-based material, a metal catalyst, and filler. The metal catalyst is a transition metal. The metal catalyst is selected from a group including Pt, Ir, Os, Pd, Rh, Ru, Cu, Ni, and a combination of Pt, Ir, Os, Pd, Rh, Ru, Cu, and Ni.</p> |
