An electromechanical device for the recognition of manually executed characters includes a module (MOD) comprising a support (SU) which has on its upper insulating surface a pre-determined distribution of conductor pads (P0-P8). The device also includes means, facing the pad array, for defining a field (F) onto which the character can be mapped and in which a single conductor pad can be selectively energized while being acted upon by a manual mapping instrument. Analysis of the energization sequence of said conductor pad makes it possible to recognise said character. |
