PROTECTION UNIT FOR A PROGRAMMABLE DATA PROCESSIGN DEVICE

A protection unit for a programmable data processor is provided to generate a security anchor in an automobile to guarantee a safe operation of a controller of the automobile. A programmable data processor(DE) stores operating data or includes at least one operating memory(BS). A protection unit(PU) for the programmable data processor has at least one monitoring logic(UL) and at least one protection logic(SL) in an execution environment unit protected from unauthenticated access. The monitoring logic accesses the operating memory to monitor unauthenticated change or access or offense against protection of the operating data stored in the operating memory and notifies the protection logic of violation of protection. The protection logic provides uncompromising change data for a changing operation of the data processor.
