PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to start up an OS, which a user expects, without spending time and labor, in a processor system in which a plurality of OSs are installed. SOLUTION: When an OS to be started up is selected, OS identification data corresponding to the OS are acquired from a nonvolatile RAM 50. OS type-identifying data corresponding to the OS identification data thus acquired are retrieved from an OS type-identifying database 36 which stores OS type-identifying data. OS type data included in the retrieved OS type-identifying data are extracted to identify the type of an OS selected as the OS to be started up. Information corresponding to the identified OS is acquired, for each type of OS, from an interface information-generating database 37 which stores information necessary for generating interface information, and the interface information is generated from the acquired information.
