PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menu screen data changing method and a menu screen data changing program to change menu screen data by adjusting moving picture data and sound data so as to correspond to an appropriate reproduction time length even after changing it when either of the moving picture data or the sound data of a menu screen of an electronic equipment in which the moving picture data and the sound data are set is changed. SOLUTION: When the reproduction time length of the moving picture data or the sound data of the changed menu screen data is judged that it has been changed before it is changed, the reproduction time length of the sound data after the change is fixed, the reproduction time length of the moving picture data after the change is adjusted so that a ratio of the reproduction time lengths of the moving picture data and the sound data after the change become the same as the ratio before the change, and the menu screen data are changed by having a synchronous processing of the sound data fixed by the reproduction time length and the moving picture data adjusted by the reproduction time length at a prescribed timing.
