PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening angle determining method of a pipe joint allowing a user to easily and accurately determine confirmation of a fastening state, and a tool allowing the user to easily determine a fastening angle of the pipe joint by being used for its determination. SOLUTION: By using an angle determining tool 20 having a cutout recessed part 20b arranged on one side of a plate-like body and positioning the one side to the pipe joint by abutting on an outer peripheral surface of the pipe joint 10, and having a reference slit 20c arranged in the ruled line direction of the pipe joint 10 in a position in close vicinity to a cutout recessed part 20b in a state of allowing the cutout recessed part 20b to abut on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe joint and a determining slit 20f arranged in a position inclined by a specific angle to the reference slit 20c, the cutout recessed part 20b is allowed to abut on the outer peripheral surface of the joint 10 after permanent fastening, and when a reference line 21b of a male nut 11 exists in the determining slit 20f in a state of arranging a reference line 21a written in an outside surface of a female nut 12 and the reference slit 20c in a straight line shape, it is determined as success.
